18 Feb Facelift Elling E3 & E4

After more than 25 years, Elling has decided to give the still very popular Elling E3 and Elling E4 models a thorough facelift. This mainly involved addressing the shape of the wheelhouse: Following in the footsteps of the Elling E6, the wheelhouse of the Elling E4 and the E3 has now also received a beautifully styled Radar arch that also takes over the function of the sprayhood. This not only embellishes the appearance of the boat, but also makes the wheelhouse a bit more spacious inside. Also, by eliminating the folding mechanism of the radar bracket integrated in the wheelhouse, the rear window could be made wider so that the aft deck is more involved in the interior space. The radar arch, which is now placed outside the wheelhouse on supports integrated in the wheelhouse, can of course still be folded, so that the clearance is suitable for an inland passage to the Mediterranean.

The last two years, we have been working on the new mold for the wheelhouse in cooperation with Vripack. Recently, the first product came out of the mold.

The first new Elling E4 will be shipped to America in May 2025 where it will be delivered to her owner. The next new E4 will make her way on her own keel to her owner in Hamburg before summer.
